KVI Mobile Apps respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Scaner4U Android application (“Scaner4U” or “the App”) processes information when you use the App. This Privacy Policy applies specifically to Scaner4U.
1. About Scaner4U
Scaner4U is a document scanning and file-processing application. The App can scan paper documents, create PDF files, import selected files and images, recognize text using OCR, convert supported documents and PDF files, merge, split and compress PDF files, save, open, export and share files, and manage scanned and converted documents stored on the device. Scaner4U does not require a user account.
2. Documents, images, and OCR content
Scanned pages, imported documents, images, OCR results and converted files are processed locally on your device for the functions you request. KVI Mobile Apps does not operate a cloud document-processing or document-storage service for Scaner4U and does not upload the contents of your scanned documents, imported documents, OCR text or converted files to servers operated by KVI Mobile Apps.
When you choose to export or share a file through another application or service, the selected file is transferred at your direction. After the file leaves Scaner4U, the privacy practices of the receiving application or service apply.
3. Camera and document scanning
When you start a document scan, the document-scanning flow uses the device camera to capture pages. Scaner4U may use Google ML Kit Document Scanner components delivered through Google Play services for document capture, cropping, rotation, image processing and related scanning functionality. Google Play services or ML Kit components may be downloaded before or during first use. KVI Mobile Apps does not receive copies of your scanned document images on its own servers as part of this process.
4. OCR and document processing
Scaner4U includes local optical character recognition and document-processing functionality. OCR may recognize text contained in personal, financial, identification, medical, legal or other sensitive documents. OCR and supported document-processing functions are performed locally by the App. OCR and automatic document conversion can contain errors; verify important results before relying on or sharing them.
5. Files and local storage
Scaner4U stores scanned and converted files locally on your device. Files stored inside Scaner4U remain on the device until you delete them, clear the App data or uninstall the App, subject to normal Android behavior. Exported copies may remain in the destination and must be deleted separately.
6. Advertising and advertising-related data
Scaner4U contains advertising provided through Google Mobile Ads / Google AdMob. Depending on location, age category, privacy choices, device settings and Google configuration, advertisements may be personalized, non-personalized or otherwise limited according to applicable requirements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process technical information such as IP address, device/app/advertising identifiers, interactions with the App and advertisements, diagnostic and performance information for advertising, delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, security and compliance. KVI Mobile Apps does not provide the contents of scanned documents, imported documents, OCR text or converted files to advertisers for advertising purposes.
7. Advertising consent and privacy choices
Scaner4U uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required to obtain and manage advertising privacy choices. Advertising requests are made only when Google's consent system indicates that ads may be requested. Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, Scaner4U provides a Privacy choices option in the App settings. Accepting the Scaner4U Terms of Use is separate from advertising consent.
8. Age-related advertising protections
Scaner4U is not directed to children under the age of 13, and users under 13 should not use the App. Scaner4U may ask users to select an age category so age-appropriate advertising and privacy settings can be applied. An exact date of birth is not required. For users identified as aged 13–17, age-appropriate advertising restrictions are applied before advertising requests are made, where required.
9. Advertising formats and choices
Banner advertisements may appear on Home and Files. Exporting one scanned page does not require a rewarded advertisement. To create and export a full document containing two or more scanned pages, Scaner4U offers an explicit voluntary choice to watch one rewarded advertisement. Rewarded advertisements are not shown automatically. If the user returns from the rewarded prompt, the scan is preserved. A normal rewarded unlock is granted only after the advertising SDK confirms the reward.
If a rewarded advertisement is technically unavailable, including offline, no-fill or loading failure, the scan is preserved and a safe fallback export may be available so the document is not lost. The same page rule applies to Photo to PDF in this version.
Scaner4U may display interstitial advertisements at natural transition points after completed document operations, after the result is already available and the user selects Done to return to Home or Files. Opportunities occur after the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and subsequent multiples of three successfully completed document operations, with at least five minutes between interstitial advertisements. Interstitial advertisements are not shown after a rewarded advertisement in the same completion session. If an interstitial is unavailable or consent does not allow an ad request, navigation continues immediately. Missed opportunities are not accumulated for later display.
10. Third-party services
Scaner4U may use Google Play services / Google ML Kit for document scanning, Google Mobile Ads / Google AdMob for advertising and measurement, and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising privacy choices and consent. These services are operated by Google and are subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.
11. Information Scaner4U does not require
Scaner4U does not require an account, name, postal address, phone number, contacts, passwords or precise GPS location for its core document scanning and processing functions.
12. Contact communications
If you contact KVI Mobile Apps by email, KVI Mobile Apps receives the email address, message content and any information or attachments you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to your request, provide support, protect legal rights or address security/compliance matters as appropriate.
13. Data retention and deletion
KVI Mobile Apps does not maintain server-side copies of your scanned documents, OCR text or converted files. You can delete locally stored documents in the App, clear App data through Android settings or uninstall the App. Files exported elsewhere must be deleted separately. Advertising-related information processed by Google is subject to Google's own retention policies and controls.
14. Security
Scaner4U is designed so document processing is performed locally whenever supported by the relevant feature. App-specific files are protected by Android application-storage and permission mechanisms. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
15. Internet connection
An internet connection may be required to download certain Google Play services or ML Kit components, load advertisements, obtain or update advertising consent information, or open external legal/support pages. An internet connection does not cause Scaner4U to upload locally stored document contents to servers operated by KVI Mobile Apps.
16. International users
Third-party providers such as Google may process advertising or device-related information in countries where they or their providers operate. Such processing is governed by their privacy policies and applicable safeguards.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Scaner4U functionality, third-party services, legal requirements or data practices change. The Last updated date will be revised when this page is updated.
